| Deposit | THE ORE IN QUESTION IS PORPHYRY COPPER. ALL THE COSTS HAVE BEEN UPDATED FROM 1969 $ TO 1977 $ BY USING A A FACTOR OF 2.5. ONLY 1969 FEASIBILITY FIGURES ARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROPERTY WHICH PRECLUDE THE USE OF STANDARD INDICES EVEN IF COST WERE POSSIBLE TO UPDATE BY INDEX THE INFLATION RATE IN P.R. & LOWER LABOR RATE WOULD NOT JUSTIFY THE USE OF STRANDARD INDICES. A NEW FEASIBILITY STUDY WAS SCHEDULED FOR FEB 1977. HOWEVER, IT HAS NOT STARTED. INTERNAL GOVT. LEVEL POLITICS HAVE CAUSED AMAX AND KENNECOTT TO DROP THEIR INTEREST IN DEVELOPING THIS PROPERTY. LINES 019-020, I001-017, Y001-003 ADDED BY C.P. MISHRA AND R.L. DAVIDOFF 7/11/78 BASED ON REVISED FINANCIAL ANALYSIS. ENVIRONMENT EFFECTS CURRENTLY UNDER STUDY, EFFECT CONSIDERED SIGNIFICANT TO DATE. |
