Comments on the location information

  • The 5 acre Holmes Lake contains mirabilite. But there is no Holmes Lake near here, unless Newton Lakes were renamed. Or, perhaps Holmes Lake is one of the tiny unnamed waterbodies. Perhaps the one in S2of SE4 of Sec. 27, T53N, R102W, less than 1/2 mi. south of the west-most end of Newton Lakes. Or the tiny water obdy North of Trail Creek in SE4 of NW4 of NW4 of Sec. 35.
