Deposit THE PRODUCT IS NICKEL-COPPER MATTE WHICH IS SHIPPED TO NORWAY. THE MATTE CONSISTS OF 42% NI, 33% CU, AND 2% CO. FEED CAPACITY IS 650,000 STPY OF CONCENTRATES. 1991 SMELTER CAPACITY IS 45 KMT/YR NI CONTAINED. OUTPUT IS 300 MT/DAY OF MATTE(42% NI). THIS REPRESENTS ABOUT 60% OF KRISTIANSAND REFINERY FEED IN NORWAY. THE REMAINDER IS FROM OPERATIONS IN BOTSWANA AND USSR. MATTE NICKEL AND COPPER GRADES VARY, BUT ALWAYS COMPLEMENT THE OTHER TO PRODUCE 75% NI + CU.
