Comments on the reserve resource information

  • EXPLORATION FOR NICKEL IS UNDERWAY IN KARELIA, WHERE THE KIVIYARVI AND TUNDROVOE DEPOSITS SHOULD BE OPERATED, THE FORMER DEPOSIT WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF THE FINNISH COMPANY OUTOKUMPU. THE KIVIYARVI HAS RESERVES OF 10 MILLION METRIC TONS OF ORE WITH AN AVERAGE NICKEL CONTENT OF 1 PERCENT. ESTIMATES OF OVERALL RESERVES AT THE SECOND DEPOSIT ARE YET TO BE FINALIZED. HOWEVER, DEVELOPERS SHOULD BE ABLE TO MINE AN ANNUAL 2 TO 3 MILLION TONS OF ORE AT THE SITE, FROM WHICH UP TO 15,000 METRIC TONS OF NICKEL MAY BE PRODUCED.
