Deposit UNDERGROUND - ORE MINED-ZN ORE 2,000TPD, MINE DEVELOPED BY VERTICAL SHAFT, MINED BY MECHANIZED CUT AND FILL, PRIMARY CRUSHING WILL BE CARRIED OUT UNDERGROUND AND THE CRUSHED ORE WILL BE BROUGHT UP BY VERTICAL SHAFT INCORPORATING A TOWER MOUNTED FRICTION HOIST PRO--MILL THROUGHPUT WILL BE ABOUT 730,000 TON/YR GIVING THE MINE AN EST. LIFE OF 15 YEARS. THE PROPOSED SURFACE PLANT WILL INCLUDE SECONDARY AND TERTIARY CRUSHING, FOLLOWED BY WET GRINDING, FLOTATION, THICKENING,FILTERING AND DRYING, EXPECTED CONC GRADES: ZN CONC-59%, PB CONC70% TRA--ZINC CONC WILL BE SOLD TO ASTURIANA DE ZINC FOR TREATMENT AT SAN JUAN DE NIEVA AND PB CONC TO SOC. MINERA Y METALURGICA DE PENARROYA FOR TREATMENT AT CARTAGENA,SPAIN OWNER--EXMINESA IS PRINCIPALLY OWNED BY COMINCO(47.5%), UNION CORP(27%), DUGWILL LTD, ASTURNIANA DE ZINC AND BANCO URQUIJO INVES--TOTAL PROJECT COST=$US 52 MILLION RESER--THE ORE ZONES ARE OPEN AT DEPTH AND IT IS EXPECTED THAT TOTAL RESERVES WILL BE WELL IN EXCESS OF THE QUOTED FIGURE.
