Comments on the reserve resource information

  • THE RESERVES AT DEGTYAR ARE SUFFICIENT FOR APPROXIMATELY A FURTHER 5 TO 7 YEARS OF PRODUCTION, SUCH AS IN THE AREA OF 2 MILLION TONS. ORE RESERVES ARE LOCATED DOWN TO THE 610 METER LEVEL. COPPER, ZINC, AND PYRITE GRADES INCREASE WITH DEPTH.
  • DEGTYAR IS LOCATED IN THE URALS, SOUTHEAST OF REVDA. LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE TAKEN FROM REVDA. CUT-OFF GRADE OF .4 PERCENT IS USED FOR COPPER. THE ORE GRADES ARE ESTIMATED AS FOLLOWS: FOR 1988, 1.4 PERCENT COPPER AND 2.2 PERCENT ZINC; FOR 1989, 1.5 PERCENT COPPER AND 2.2 PERCENT ZINC; FOR 1990, 1.4 PERCENT COPPER AND 2.2 PERCENT ZINC; FOR 1991, 1.3 PERCENT COPPER AND 1.6 PERCENT ZINC; AND PROJECTED FOR THE YEAR 1995, 2.4 PERCENT COPPER AND 2.9 PERCENT ZINC.
