  • TELEPHONE INQUIRY TO MAINE STATE GEOLOGIST REVEALED NO PUBLISHED BERYLLIUM RESERVE FIGURES FOR ANDROSCOGGIN COUNTY. BARTON (SEE BIBLIO., P. 119.) ESTIMATED POTENTIAL BERYL RESOURCES OF NEW ENGLAND TO EXCEED 100,000 TONS. IN HIS REPORT, HE ALSO STATED THAT HE FOUND NO SITE WHICH COULD BE MINED PROFITABLY FOR BERYL ALONE.
