AN INTERMOUNTAIN FIELD OPERATIONS CENTER INSPECTION OF THIS FACILITY WAS MADE DURING SEPTEMBER 1981. THIS PROPERTY REVIEWED, 4-87. AT THIS TIME, THERE ARE NO MINE/MILL CHANGES BUT THE MINE IS OPERATING AT REDUCED CAPACITY. AMAX HAS RECEIVED A ROYALTY REDUCTION RATE FROM THE STATE AND DEPT. OF INTERIOR.

INCLUDED IN THESE RESERVES ARE MAIN ORE BODY RESERVES OR 10.9 MILLION TONS, AVERAGING 18.8 K2O, IN THE FIRST , OR LOWER, ORE ZONE. LOW HEIGHT RESERVES, LOCATED AT THE THIRD OR UPPER, ORE ZONE CONTAIN 59.0 MILLION TONS OF ORE, AVERAGING 12.5 K2O. ACTUAL EXTRACTION OF THE IN-SITU ORE RESERVES AMOUNTS TO 90 PERCENT FOR BOTH CONVENTIONAL AND CONTINUOUS MINING OF EITHER ORE ZONE. THE TWO BEDS ARE TO BE MINED SO AS TO EXHAUST EACH BED AT THE END OF THE MINE LIFE. M3C1=M1C1+M2C1, M4C1=R3, M9C6=R3.
