Deposit "numerous wells in the area around the town of Green River encountered Na2Co3 at depths from 125 ft. to 300 ft. A plant, constructed before 1900, produced 100 tons of caustic soda and 150 tons of washing soda in 1904. The project was abandoned long ago." (Osterwald and others, 1966)
