Comments on other economic factors

  • ASSAY OF THE LEAD CONCENTRATE IS 68 TO 72 PERCENT LEAD, 6.3 PERCENT ZINC, .36 PERCENT ANTIMONY, AND 1,000 GRAMS PER TON OF SILVER. THE ASSAY OF THE ZINC CONCENTRATE YIELDS 49 PERCENT ZINC, 1.7 PERCENT LEAD, AND 0.3 PERCENT CADMIUM. THE LEAD CONCENTRATE WAS SHIPPED TO THE TREPCA SMELTER AT TITOVA MITROVICA FOR TOLL SMELTING. THE ZINC CONCENTRATE IS TREATED AT THE ZORKA ELECTROLYTIC PLANT, IN SABAC. THE TREPCA LEAD SMELTER TERMS - 55 PERCENT OF LEAD IS RETURNED ON A TOLL BASIS BY THE TREPCA SMELTER, THE BALANCE IS PAID FOR, MINUS SMELTING FEES. THE ZORKA ZINC SMELTER PAYS FOR 100 PERCENT OF THE ZINC AND CADMIUM IN THE ZINC CONCENTRATE, LESS SMELTING FEES.
