  • E/MJ-89-90 TTHE LANGSELE ORE BODY (GEO-REC 2) IS COMPOSED OF COMPACT PYRITE-SPHALERITE ORE WITH PYRRHOTITE AND SOME CHALCO- PYRITE, GALENA AND ARSENOPYRITE LOCATED ON A CONTACT BETWEEN VOLCANIC ROCKS METAMORPHOSED TO SERICITE QUARTZ SHISTS AND THE OVERLYING SEDIMENTS. THE UDDEN MINE IS A COPPER-ZINC-LEAD OREBODY THAT CONSISTS OF A SERIES OF PARALLEL SULPHIDE LENSES STRIKING ESE-WNW AND DIPPING AT 80 DEGS SSW IN BANDED TUFFS, WHICH ATTAIN A THICKNESS OF UP TO 7-8 M AND HAVE A MAXIMUM LENGTH OF 370 M. OF THE 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF ORE REPRESENTED IN THE DEPOSIT, THE COMPACT SPHALERITE-PYRITE TYPE FORMS THE 2 MAIN ORE LENSES.
