| Deposit | IN LATE 1988 AN OPEN CUT MINING OPERATION WAS CARRIED OUT ON THE SHALLOWER WIDGIE 3 ZONES AND THOUGH IT ATTAINED GRADES, TONNAGES WERE BELOW EXPECTATIONS. WMC MAINTAINED A STEADY EXPLORATION PROGRAM ON THE WIDGIEMOOLTHA DOME IN 1990. ORE OCCURS IN AN EMBAYMENT ON AN ULTRAMAFIC-DOLERITE CONTACT AND COMPRISES A HIGH GRADE MASSIVE SULFIDE ZONE UP TO 1.5M THICK AND A DISSEMINATED ZONE 5-15M THICK WITHIN THE SERPENTINITE. |
