  • A A$42.9M ALUMINUM TRIHYDRATE PLANT IS BEING CONSTRUCTED AT THE SITE. THE FACILITY WILL BE BROUGHT ON LINE IN TWO STAGES, THE FIRST IN 4Q 1994 AND THE SECOND IN MID 1995. THE PLANT WILL PRODUCE A NOMINAL 270,000 TPY OF ATH, SOLD PREDOMINATELY IN ASIA AND EUROPE. THIS SPECIALITY ALUMINA PRODUCT WILL BE USED IN PAPER, WATER TREATMENT, AND AS AN EXTENDER FOR ZEOLITES AND TITANIUM DIOXIDE.
