Environmental Factors ONE DISCHARGING ADIT WAS IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE DURING THE INVESTIGATION. THE MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVEL FOR CADMIUM EXCEEDED IN THE ADIT DISCHARGE. PONY CREEK WAS FLOWING THROUGH THE CENTER OF THE SITE DURING THE INVESTIGATION. SURFACE WATER AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM FROM THE SITE IN PONY CREEK. NO MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVELS WERE EXCEEDED. TEN POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS OPEN ADITS AND FOUR OPEN SHAFTS WERE IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE.
