Comments on the geologic information

  • TWO VEIN SYSTEMS, DISCLOSED BY SHALLOW TRENCHING AND OUTCROPS ARE IN EVIDENCE ON THE PROPERTY. THE EAST VEIN COMPRISED OF QUARTZ, CARRYING DISSEMINATED PYRITE AND SOME COPPER STAINING, STRIKES N.10 DEGREES E. AND IN THICKNESS AVERAGES ABOUT 5 METERS. IT IS TRACEABLE FOR ABOUT 300 METERS. THE WEST VEIN STRIKES ABOUT EAST-WEST AND IS NEARLY VERTICAL WHERE EXPOSED, IT IS AT LEAST A METER WIDE AND IS COMPRISED OF QUARTZ. ON THE FOOTWALL BLACK CARBONACEOUS SHALE IS EXPOSED WHICH IS WELL MINERALIZED WITH PYRITE. THE HANGING WALL IS THIN BEDDED LIMESTONE. THE VEIN QUARTZ CARRIES MOLYBDENITE IN THIN SEAMS, PYRITE, AND CHALCOPYRITE. IN A SLUMP IMMEDIATELY WEST OF THE EAST VEIN THE FORMATIONS ARE HIGHLY LEACHED AND STAINED WITH IRON. THE AREA IS ABOUT 200 METERS WIDE AND 500 METERS LONG. IN THIS AREA THE FORMATIONS HAVE BEEN ALTERED TO CLAY FOR DEPTHS OF 2 TO 3 METERS. THE CLAYS CONTAIN A BOXWORK OF INTERLACING THIN SEAMS OF QUARTZ. INVARIABLY THESE THIN QUARTZ SEAMS ARE MINERALIZED WITH MOLYBDENITE AS CRYSTAL CLUSTERS. THE ALTERED AND LEACHED FORMATIONS CONTAIN VARYING SMALL AMOUNTS OF PYRITE, COBALT, AND NICKEL.
  • COBALT ASSAYS FROM 5 SAMPLES WERE 0.02 PERCENT
