Comments on the geologic information

  • INDIAN SPRINGS TUNGSTEN DEPOSIT IS LOCATED ON THE GAMBLE RANCH, NEAR INDIAN SPRINGS, ON THE EASTERN SLOPE OF THE DELANO MTS. MOST OF THE HIGH-TEMPERATURE PNEUMATOLYTIC QUARTZ VEINS OCCUR ON EASTERN CONTACT OF THE INDIAN SPRINGS STOCK. THE BULK OF THE SCHEELITE OCCURS IN THE QUARTZ VEINS RATHER THAN THE NEARBY TACTITES. DIAMOND DRILL CORES FROM THE EASIER CONTACT ZONE HAVE SHOWN QUARTZ VEINS CONTAINING ABUNDANT PYRITE AND SOME MOLYBDENITE IN PEGMATITE LENSES, AND NEAR ZONES OF POTASSIC AND SERICITIC ALTERATION. MINOR AMOUNTS OF CHALCOPYRITE ARE ALSO PRESENT. MINERAL EXPLORATION IS CURRENTLY BEING CARRIED ON ON THE PROPERTY BY UTAH INTERNATIONAL, A DIVISION OF GENERAL ELECTRIC CORP.
