Deposit THE MINE WAS CLOSED BEFORE 1875 BECAUSE THE OPERATORS WERE U O COPE WITH WATER IN THE SHAFTS THE ORE WAS REPORTED TO BE LOW GRADE & MOSTLY DISSEMINATED B GREAT DEAL OF MASSIVE CHROMITE SIMILAR TO THE HIGH GRADE ORE HE WOOD MINE AS WELL AS SOME DISSEM CHROMITE WAS FOUND IN TH BY PEARRE AND HEYL USGS BULL 1082K PG 778. NO ANALYSES OF CHROMITE OR CR FE RATIO ARE AVAILABLE. DATE OF COMMENTS 1975.
