Comments on the production information

  • PHOSPHATE PLANT AND RESERVES PURCHASED FROM VIRGINIA-CAROLINA CHEMICAL IN 1963. WASHER WAS SHUT DOWN IN MID 1966. CRUDE MATRIX WAS THEN USED IN THE FURNACE. FURNACE OPERATION WAS TERMINATED IN EARLY 1970. MOBIL EXPECTS TO SELL ITS TENNESSEE PHOS. HOLDINGS. MOBIL-CONTROLLED RESERVES REPRESENT ABOUT 5 PERCENT OF TOTAL ESTIMATED ECONOMIC GRADE P2O5 IN THIS REGION.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • RESOURCES AT THE 90 PERCENT PROBABILITY LEVEL REPRESENT PHOSPHATE ORE RESERVES. RESOURCES AT THE 75 TO 10 PERCENT PROBABILITY LEVELS INCLUDE 1,740,000 MT OF TAILINGS SANDS AND SOME STOCKPILED MATRIX AVERAGING 22 PERCENT P2O5. MINIMUM GRADE CUT-OFF OF 17 PERCENT WAS USED IN CALCULATING THE ORE RESERVES.
