  • MINING HAS TAKEN PLACE ON THIS SITE FOR SEVERAL CENTURIES. PRESENTLY, THE SOUTHERN DEPOSIT IS BEING MINED AND IT WAS NOT DISCOVERED UNTIL THE 1970S. THE 1992 MINING ANNUAL REVIEW ESTIMATES THAT TOTAL ORE PRODUCTION FOR CZECHOSLOVAKIA INCLUDED 360,000 METRIC TONS OF TIN AND WOLFRAM.

  • THE TIN CONCENTRATE IS SENT TO THE FREIBERG SMELTER IN EAST GERMANY FOR TOLL CONVERSION. NOTHING IS SAID ABOUT THE DESTINATION OF THE TUNGSTEN CONCENTRATES. THE TIN CONCENTRATE TRANSACTION IS CARRIED OUT BY METALIMEX, IN PRAGUE. THE CINOVEC MINE IS LOCATED 12 KILOMETERS NORTHWEST OF TEPLICE IN NORTHERN BOHEMIA ON THE CZECH-EAST GERMAN BORDER.
  • THE HEAD GRADES OF THE TIN AND TUNGSTEN ORE GOING INTO THE CONCENTRATOR FOR THE YEAR 1989 ARE .175 PERCENT FOR THE TIN ORE AND .0185 PERCENT FOR THE TUNGSTEN ORE. CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION FOR THE YEAR 1989 ARE 83.14 METRIC TONS OF TIN CONCENTRATE AND 2.4 METRIC TONS OF TUNGSTEN CONCENTRATE. THE GRADES OF THE CONCENTRATE PRODUCTION FOR 1989 ARE 63.85 PERCENT TIN IN TIN CONCENTRATE AND 43.3 PERCENT TUNGSTEN IN TUNGSTEN CONCENTRATE.
