Comments on the production information

  • THE ZAJACA SMELTER PRODUCES ANTIMONY REGULUS, ANTIMONY SULFIDE. THE HIGHEST PRODUCTION BETWEEN 1984 AND 1990 WAS ESTIMATED AT 1,840 METRIC TONS OF ANTIMONY SULFIDE.
  • PRODUCTION IS USED IN THE BATTERY INDUSTRY.

Comments on the reserve resource information

  • GRADE IS ESTIMATED. ANTIMONY REGULUS IS PRODUCED AT THE FACILITY. REGULUS IS PRIMARILY ANTIMONY SULFIDE. APPROXIMATELY 65 PERCENT OF FEED IS FROM ZAJACA MINE CONCENTRATES, THE THE REMAINING 35 PERCENT IS IMPORTED. PLANT PRODUCTION IS PROBABLY USED IN DOMESTIC INDUSTRIES.

Comments on other economic factors

  • THE ZAJACA PLANT PRODUCES ANTIMONY SULFIDE THROUGH SMELTING AT A CAPACITY OF 1,000 METRIC TONS PER YEAR, PROVIDED THAT THE SMELTER OPERATES FOR 300 DAYS PER YEAR AND 3 SHIFTS PER DAY.
