Deposit OCTOBER 14, 1975: ECHANDIA IS 500 MTS. NORTH OF MARMATO. ONE HUNDRED MINERS WORK THE MINE (MARMATO) INDEPENDENTLY AND ARE PAID AT THE MILL BY THE RECOVERED GOLD FROM THEIR ORE. THE AVERAGE MINEABLE GRADE IS ACTUALLY HIGHER, BUT DUE TO TH MITIVE TECHNICAL SYSTEM USED IN THE MILL ONLY 8.0 GRMS ARE R THE ORE IS SELECTED INSIDE THE MINE BY HAND AND IS TAKEN OUT BACKS OF THE MINERS. THE HOLES FOR EXPLOSIVES ARE MADE BY HA IT HAS BEEN SUGGESTED TO MAKE A SYSTEMATIC EVALUATION OF TH BUT THE MINERS DO NOT WANT THIS. IN 1967 71,312 GRMS AU AND 60,823GRMS AG WERE PROD.80% FROM AU-AG RATIOS ARE 1 TO 2.8 AT MARMATO. ABOUT HALF THE RECOVER IS IN FREE STATE.
