Comments on the reserve resource information

  • THE CAPACITY OF THE KIROVGRAD COPPER SMELTER WAS ESTIMATED AT 151,000 METRIC TONS IN 1988, 155,000 METRIC TONS IN 1989, 124,000 METRIC TONS IN 1990, 124,000 METRIC TONS IN 1991, AND PROJECTED TO BE 124,000 METRIC TONS OF CONCENTRATES SMELTED IN 1995. THIS SMELTER PRODUCED BLISTER COPPER. ITS SOURCES OF CONCENTRATES FOR THE YEAR 1990 WAS GAI, WHICH PROVIDED 10 PERCENT OF CONCENTRATE FEED AFTER BEING TRANSPORTED 720 KILOMETERS FROM THE MILL TO THE SMELTER. UCHALI PROVIDES 5 PERCENT OF CONCENTRATE FEED AT A DISTANCE OF 400 KILOMETERS FROM THE MILL TO THE SMELTER. KRASNOURALSK PROVIDES 70 PERCENT OF CONCENTRATE FEED AT A DISTANCE OF 140 KILOMETERS FROM THE MILL TO THE SMELTER. THE OTHER SOURCES OF CONCENTRATE PROVIDE THE REMAINING 15 PERCENT OF CONCENTRATE FEED. IN 1997 THE COMOD SPECL. REPORTED CAP AT 150,000 MT CU METAL. THIS NEW CAP WAS ENTERED INTO THE ADIT. DATE OF CAP IS 1995.
