  • THIS PROJECT IS PLANNED IN THREE STAGES. FIRST IS THE REPROCESSING OF TAILS FROM THE RADIUM HILL URANIUM PLANT BETWEEN 1955 AND 1962. AMOUNT IS 200,000 MT OF UNKNOWN REO GRADE. REO MINERAL IS DAVIDITE. A SECOND PLANT WILL THEN BE BUILT TO SEPARATE YTTRIUM FROM IMPORTED (CHINESE) REO CONCENTRATES. THE LAST STAGE INVOLVES A CRACKING PLANT TO EXTRACT REO FROM MONAZITE CONCENTRATES ORIGINATING IN AUSTRALIAN BEACH SANDS.
