Comments on the production information

  • PRODUCTION STARTED IN OCTOBER, 1975, IN LUMP ORE. NEW FRONTIER AND CECILIE ESTANISLAO, ANOTHER NEW PRODUCER HAD A COMBINED OUTPUT OF 1,987 DRY METRIC TONS OF METALLURGICAL CHROMITE CONCENTRATES IN 1975. 1976 - 2200 TONS OF LUMPY ORE WERE STOCKPILED WITH A GRADE OF ABOUT 50% CHROMITE. ALTHOUGH THE EXPLORATION SCHEME HAS JUST BEEN STARTED, INITIAL FINDINGS TO-DATE ALREADY INDICATE A MINE IN THE MAKING. PLATINUM AND PALLADIUM UNEXPECTEDLY APPEAR TO BE PRESENT IN THE AREA. THE COMPANY IS WAITING FOR MORE CLUES ON THESE PRECIOUS METALS A HIGH OCCURANCE OF NICKEL SULFIDE HAS BEEN DISCOVERED AT CONSIDERABLE DEPTHS. 1975 - NEW FRONTIER MINES HAS NEGOTIATED WITH HOCHMETAL FOR A JOINT VENTURE.
