CODED CO-ORDINATES ARE OF A POINT ABOUT HALFWAY BETWEEN NIGER RIVER AND UPPER VOLTA BORDER, 108 KM SSE OF NIAMEY. IN 1976: U.S.STEEL SAID TO BE LOOKING AT DEPOSIT, DEPOSIT LOCATED IN A NATIONAL RESERVE BUT THIS "SHOULD POSE NO PROBLEM FOR MINING". BRGM DOING A STUDY ON THE DEPOSITS AND HAS DONE A GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY.
