Deposit ADIT, 300 FT OF DEVELOPMENT WITH A 40-FT-LONG RAISE TO SURFACE. NUMEROUS FAULTS IN LIMESTONE, IRREGULAR OCCURRENCES OF MINERALS CONSISTING OF GALENA, SPHALERITE, CHALCOPYRITE, PYRITE, MALACHITE. OF 7 SAMPLES TAKEN IN THIS ADIT, 1 HAD THE HIGHEST ASSAY CONCENTRATION OF 8.0 OUNCES/SHORT TON SILVER 8.3% LEAD, AND 4.6% ZINC. A SMALL AMOUNT OF ORE MAY HAVE BEEN PRODUCED, NO RECORDS. WITHIN 2,000 FT OF THE RIEDER TUNNEL ARE AT LEAST 8 OTHER ADITS, THE LARGEST ONE HAVING 675 FT OF WORKINGS. SMALL, HI-GRADE POCKETS OF LEAD, ZINC, COPPER, AND/ OR SILVER WERE NOTED AT PLACES IN SOME OF THE ADITS. NO RESOURCES COULD BE MEASURED BECAUSE OF THE SPOTTY NATURE OF THE MINERAL OCCURRENCES; ANY PRODUCTION FROM THE ADITS WOULD HAVE BEEN SMALL.
