Deposit THIS DISTRIC HAS BEEN MINED SINCE THE 16TH CENTURY. RECENT OPERATIONS BEGAN IN 1982. *10-93: THE MINE IS REPORTED TO HAVE REOPENED AT A REDUCED RATE, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE RUMORS THAT IT HAS SHUT AGAIN. 6/27/97--CONFIRMED AS PRODUCING BY JAVIER MOYA, US EMBASSY IN MEXICO.
