General comments

Subject category Comment text
Deposit AN ADDITIONAL 15 MIN MAP IS CATHLAMET. SOURCE FOR PUBLISHED RESOURCE DATA IS HOOK, 1976, WATER AND POWER ARE ALREADY ESTABLISHED AT THE MINE SITE. MATRIX GRADES AND TONNAGES ARE BASED ON WET TONNES. BENEFICIATION COSTS ARE BASED ON THE BAYER PROCESS. REYNOLDS OWNS OR LEASES 80 % OF THE RESOURCE AREA. BAUXITE IS FORMED BY LATERIZATION OF BASALT. THE ORE IS NOT CONTINUOUS FOR ITS LENGTH AND WIDTH. LATERIZATION TAKES PLACE ON THE LOWER PART OF DIP-SLOPES. THERE IS MINOR DEFORMATION DUE TO LATERIZATION. THE COLUMBIA RIVER BASALT HAS BEEN FOLDED, FAULTED, AND ERODED. TO SOME EXTENT THE LAND FORMS ARE A RESULT OF DEFORMATION AND THE ORE IS RELATED TO GEOHORPHOLOGY.
