THE DEPOSIT AND PLANT COULD NOT BE VISITED, AND THE OPERATOR WAS UNWILLING TO DISCUSS THE PROPERTY. V.G. BENNETT, CONSULTANT IN BISBANE, QUEENSLAND, HAS ADVISED IREL IN THE PAST, AND HAS GIVEN INFORMATION TO WRITE THIS REPORT. THE MINE ALSO RECOVERS SMALL AMOUNTS OF SILLIMANITE, MONAZITE, AND GARNETS. GRADES SHOWN IN MATRICES ARE CONSTITUENTS, NOT MINERALS. THE RELATIONSHIPS ARE AS FOLLOWS: ILMENITE = 43% IN ORE SANDS * 54.2% TIO2 = 23.3% TIO2 IN ORE; RUTILE = 0.9% IN ORE * 95% TI02 = 0.855% TIO2 IN ORE; ZIRCON = 1.5% IN ORE * 67% ZRO2 = 1.00% ZRO2 IN ORE; AND, MONAZITE = 2.5% IN ORE * 55% REO = 1.375% REO IN ORE.
