  • LIKE MOST OF THE BOLIVIAN TIN PRODUCERS, HIGH PRODUCTION COSTS AND LOW TIN VALUES CAUSE MOST OF THESE MINES TO LOSE MONEY. THE BOLIVIAN GOV. MAINTAINS PRODUCTION IN THESE MINES BECAUSE THEY ARE A MAJOR SOURCE OF CURRENCY (SOMETHING NECESSARY IN AN ECONOMY THAT DEVALUES THEIR CURRENCY DAILY).
