Comments on the geologic information

  • THE PEZINOK MINE HAS 182,000 METRIC TONS OF INFERRED ORE. THE GEOLOGY OF THE ORE CONSISTS OF A VOLCANOGENIC SEDIMENTARY STRATIFORM DEPOSIT OCCURING WITHIN HOST ROCKS WHICH ARE DARK GRAPHITIC SCHISTS. THE ANTIMONY-BEARING LENSES ARE 10 TO 40 METERS THICK, WITH LAYERS OF ANTIMONY ORES RANGING FROM A FEW CENTIMETERS TO SOME SEVERAL METERS IN THICKNESS. THE TOTAL LENGTH OF THE DEPOSIT IS ONE KILOMETER, WITH SEVERAL ORE ZONES 300 TO 550 METERS LONG. THE MINERALIZATION DIPS STEEPLY, AT 70 TO 90 DEGREES, AND HAS A VERTICAL EXTENT OF ABOUT 100 METERS.
