Comments on the reserve resource information

  • PROJECT CONSISTS OF THREE DEPOSITS, IVAN, ZAR AND EMPERATRIZ. IVAN AND ZAR ARE ADJACENT TO EACH OTHER AND EMPERATRIZ IS 7KM TO THE NORTH. REVISED MINE PLAN IS TO RECOVER COPPER FROM OXIDE AND SULFIDE DEPOSITS SIMULTANIOUSLY USING ACID LEACH ON OXIDE AND BACTERIAL LEACH ON SULFIDE MATERIAL. INITIAL PRODUCTION WILL COME FROM THE ZAR OXIDE OPEN PIT UNTIL THE IVAN UNDERGROUND SULFIDE AND OXIDE OPERATION COMES ON STREAM EARLY IN 1995. THE HIGH GRADE SULFIDES WILL COMPRISE THE BULK OF THE COPPER PRODUCTION UNTIL THEY ARE EXHAUSTED IN 1998.
