Deposit RECORDED PROD. BEFORE 1950: 99 OZ AU, 10 OZ AG (USBM FILES). BEDROCK CHANGES FROM LIMESTONE TO NATURAL RIFFLES FORMED BY ORIENTATION OF SCHISTOSITY OF SCHIST IN AREA. QUARTZ LENSES AND STRINGERS IN SCHIST ARE PROBABLE SOURCE OF GOLD. GRAVEL IS SCHIST WITH SOME QUARTZAND LIMESTONE. CONCENTRATE CONTAINS PYRITE, HEMATITE AND CASSITERITE. REF. POINT IS LOCATED AT CONFLUENCE OF OLD GLORY CREEK AND PINNEL RIVER.
