NO ACTIVITY SINCE. COMPOSED OF PEGMATITES RESTRICTED TO ZONE OF FELDSPATHIZED GRANULITE. PEGMATITES MAY FORM BY METAMORPHIC REPLACEMENT OF THIS ROCK. PEGMATITES CONTAIN NO RARE PEG. MINERALS OR RARE EARTHS. USBM RECOMMENDED DENIAL OF LOAN FOR FURTHER EXPLORATION 1953 PEGMATITES LESS THAN 500 FT FROM BEACH. WATER PROBABLY AVAILABLE ON ISLAND; NO REF. IN LITERATURE.
