  • IN 1946 MR BURNS REPORTEDLY SHIPPED $3,000 WORTH OF HAND PICKED COPPER AND SILVER ORE AVERAGING $68 PER TON. MR BURNS PRODUCED THIS ORE FROM A 50 FOOT WINZE AND SAID THE VEIN OF QUARTZ CUTTING ACROSS SHALE BEDS PINCHED AND SWELLED FROM 2 INCHES TO SIX INCHES IN WIDTH. THE ONLY VISIBLE ORE FROM THE SURFACE SHOWS A TWO INCH WIDTH OF CHALCOPYRITE ORE AND THREE STRINGERS OF BARREN QUARTZ ALONG 1,000 FEET OF STRIKE LENGTH.
