Environmental Factors NO MILL TAILINGS WERE OBSERVED AT THIS SITE DURING THE INVESTIGATION. NO DISCHARGING ADITS, FILLED SHAFTS, SEEPS, OR SPRINGS WERE IDENTIFIED. ELKHORN CREEK WAS FLOWING APPROXIMATELY 20 FEET FROM THE TOE OF THE WASTE ROCK DUMP. SURFACE WATER AND SEDIMENT SAMPLES WERE COLLECTED UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE SITE. CONTAMINANT CONCENTRATIONS WERE NOT ELEVATED IN THE DOWNSTREAM SAMPLES (SURFACE WATER OR SEDIMENT) WHEN COMPARED WITH THE UPSTREAM SAMPLES. NO HAZARDOUS MINE OPENINGS OR STRUCTURES WERE IDENTIFIED AT THE SITE.
