Deposit TAILINGS ALSO OCCUR IN THE NW/4 NW/4 NE/4 SEC. 14. NO OPEN PIT WAS OABSEVED. A SHALLOW, THIN BLANKET OF TAILINGS IS ALL THAT REMAINS OF ACTIVITY. A LOCAL RANCHER SAID THAT THE OERATORS WERE JIM JONES AND EMANUAL LIPTENSTEIN, WHO HAULED IN OLD DUMP MATERIAL OR TAILINGS FROM OTHER SITE(S). NOTE: NDMI (1980, P. 27 AND 1981, P. 34) ERRONEOUSLY REPORTS THE LOCATION OF THIS MINE IN R. 45 E. MARTIN CREEK IS IN R. 40 E., WHERE THIS RECORD IS PLOTTED.
