| Deposit | 1975 ENTRIES - THE NAMES OF THE CURRENT OWNER OPERATOR ARE UNDETERMINED. THE NATIONAL MINERALS CO OPERATED DURING WWI. KNOPF 1922 PG 91 REPORTS THAT AVERAGE SAMPLES OF THE DISSEMINATED ORE FROM THE DUMPS SHOWED 33 TO 34% BY WEIGHT OF CHROMITE IN AREA CHROMITE DEPOSITS SUGGESTED FOR CHEMICAL USES. THE MINE IS REPORTED TO HAVE REACHED A DEPTH OF 200 TO 250 F HOUGH SOME SOURCES SAY IT REACHED A DEPTH OF 400 FT. |
