Deposit A TUNNEL WAS DRIVEN INTO THE HILL 411 FT. THE FRONT VEIN WAS CROSSED AT 150 FT., AND THE BACK VEIN AT 411 FT. ONLY THE BA WAS WORKED. FROM THE BACK VEIN A VERTICAL RAISE OF 135 FT. W DRIVEN TO THE SURFACE, AND WAS SUNK 75 FT. BELOW THE TUNNEL. STOPED ALONG THE STRIKE OF THE BACK VEIN FOR 300 FT. AT TUNN LEVEL, THE BACK VEIN WAS 6 FT. THICK, BUT AT THE BOTTOM OF T SHAFT IT WAS 8 TO 15 FT. THICK. THE FRONT VEIN IS 4 FT. THIC SOME 40000 TONS OF MAGNETITE ORE WERE SHIPPED, ABOUT 42 % IR THE ENTIRE AREA BETWEEN THE TWO VEINS MAY BE VALUABLE LOW GRADE SEE ALSO WICKERT, WIEAND, MOYER, AND EMAUS IRON CO.S MINES.
