  • EARLY GEOLOGICAL MAPPING AND ROCK SAMPLING, TOGETHER WITH THE INTERPRETATION OF RECENTLY COMPLETED AIRBORNE GEOPHYSICS (1995) HAD INDICATED A STRUCTURALLY COMPLEX ALTERED VOLCANIC ENVIRONMENT COVERING APPROX. 20 SQ KM. SAMPLES CONTAINING "HIGH VALUES" IN GOLD AND SILVER HAVE BEEN COLLECTED AT A NUMBER OF SITES, WITH GOLD ASSAYS RETURNING VALUES AS HIGH AS 60 G/T. THE MINING JOURNAL REFERENCE GIVES GIVES A TABLE WITH RESULTS OF CHIP SAMPLES FROM FIVE CHANNELS IN ONE AREA.
