Deposit LAML 5/26/92 STATED THAT LAS CAMARIOCAS COULD BE ON-LINE BY END OF 1993 AT 10,000 MT OF NI PER YEAR AND 30,000 BY 1996. AN INFUSION OF CAPITAL OF AT LEAST 70 MILLION IS NECCES.TO REACH PARTIAL OPERATION. THIS PLANT WILL REQUIRE A FOREIGN PARTNER IN ORDER TO BECOME OPERATIONAL SINCE DOMESTIC FUNDS ARE UNAVAIL. RUMOURS ABOUND RE: CANADIAN COMPANIES HAVING NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN $US120M AND US$150 IS NEEDED TFOR EXPANSION AT THE PLANT.
