AS OF JAN. 30, 1995, APPROVAL FOR EXPANSION GIVEN. PROJECT SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED IN EARLY 1997. CONSTRUCTION BEGAN IN FEBRUARY 1995. DUBAL IS INSTALLING ITS OWN SMELTER TECHNOLOGY IN ASSOC. WITH COMALCO. NEW TECH. CONSISTS OF 200 KA POTS, TWO GAS TURBINES WITH COMBINED CAPACITY OF 110 MW, A SECOND GREEN ANODE PRODUCTION LINE, AND A THIRD CARBON PLANT KILN.

ALL GRADE DATA IS IN TERMS OF WT PCT CONTAINED ALUMINUM. SMELTER INPUT CAPACITY DATA IS IN MT OF ALUMINA CONCENTRATE. SMELTER OUTPUT CAPACITY DATA IS IN MT OF AL METAL PRODUCTION TRANSPORTATION RECORDS 01 AND 02 ARE GENERAL DATA USED IN 1987 ALUMINUM AVAILABILITY STUDY. RECORDS 03 TO 05 ARE MORE SPECIFIC, AND WERE USED IN THE NETWORK SUPPLY MODEL STUDY.
