Comments on the reserve resource information

  • RESOURCE ESTIMATE DEVELOP FROM INDUSTRIAL MINERALS 6/88.
  • INDUSTRIAL MINERALS, JUNE 1988, STATES MORE THAN 32 YEARS OF RESERVES REMAIN.
  • OTHER NAME:AL HAYAT PEGMATITES. PRODUCED ABOUT 25,000 MT OF CONCENTRATE. INSTALLATION OF A HEAVY MEDIA SEPARATOR INCREASED EFFICIENCY AND RESERVES IN 1988. SO PETALITE STILL PRODUCED.

Comments on the workings information

  • TWO PITS, BIKITA AND AL HAYAT.

Comments on other economic factors

  • ORE IS PROCESSED SEVERAL WAYS. REPROCESSED ORE IS TREATED BY DENSE MEDIA SEPARATION, LIGHTS ARE GROUND TO POWDER (PETALITE) IN 1987 A DMS SEPERATOR WAS INSTALLED AT THE RATE OF 10TPH. UNIT TREATS A LARGE STOCKPILE OF FORMER REJECT MATERIAL DERIVED FROM HAND SORTING. PLANT ALSO TREATS RUN OF MINE ORE. TWO PRODUCTS ARE PRODUCED ;PETALITE, THE GREATER PERCENTAGE AND SPODUMENE. PETALITE IS SENT TO A DRY GRINDING PLANT TO PRODUCE POWDER. PETALITE IS THE FLOAT PRODUCT FROM THE DMS. THE SPOD.WILL BE TREATEDFURTHER FOR CONCENTRTION BY FLOTATION SOME TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE. CUSTOM PRODUCTS OF AMBLYGONITE AND POLLUCITE ARE PRODUCED UPON REQUEST.
