  • WORKINGS CONSIST OF A 6M LONG INCLINED ADIT. 500 S.E. OF PR OSPECT(SOUTH OF DRAINAGE) IS ANOTHER PROSPECT, PROBAbLY ALSO A MN PROSPECT. MINERALIZED ZONE IS ALONG FRACTURE IN RHYOLITE, STRIKING N30 W, DIPPING 45 NE. MAJORITY OF BRECCIA IS REPLACED BY QUARTZ AND MN. MN OCCURS IN THE SILICIFIED BRECCIA AS A HARD OXIDE . TRAVERTINE IS DEPOSITED IN THE MINERALIZED ZONE AND ALONG OTHER FRACTURES IN THE AREA. PODS OF MN ARE IN TRAVERTINE. MINERALIZED ZONE IS .3-.5M THICK, WITH NUMBEROUS STRINGERS OF MN OXIDES. IN 1978 USBM TOOK ONE 1M CHIP SAMPLE ACROSS THE BACK OF THE ADIT.
