Comments on the geologic information

  • THE ROSARIO DEPOSIT IS FOUND IN THE SONORAN PENEPLANE. THIS ENTIRE AREA IS UNDERLAIN BY A BATHOLITIC INTRUSION OF GRANITE, IN WHICH LARGE REMNANTS OF OLDER, SEDIMENTARY ROCK REMAIN. THESE OLDER ROCKS RANGE IN AGE FROM PALEOZOIC TO CRETACEOUS, WITH SOME TERTIARY VOLCANICS. THE ORE OCCURS AS POCKETS IN BRECCIAS, FRACTURES AND DIKES
