REC 040 SOUTHERN PORTION OF PROPERTY BORDERED BY MORGAN RUN OF LAKE LIBERTY AND WORKINGS HAVE BEEN FLOODED VIA A SUBMERG THERE ARE SEVERAL FARMS SURROUNDING THE MINE AREA. MAX SUR A TURBED WAS ROUGHLY MEASURED FROM A MINE AREA MAP (REC 706 FI AND INVOLVES AN AREA 1900X900 FT REC 050 & 051 PROPERTY EXAMINED BY THE USGS & BU MINE IN 19 PRODUCTION RECORDS ARE POOR AND CITE THAT 35.5 ST OF CU ORE DUCED BUT HEYL ESTIMATES 5000 ST CU ORE PRODUCED. INFO PRIMA FROM REC 706 PP 56-57 REC 060 IN SITU RK DENSITY IS FROM A TABLE FOR CU ORE WIT FIDES OF UP TO 10% CU AND MAY BE INACCURATE FOR THIS DEPOSIT ORE IS A QTE-MAGNETITE-SULFIDE ROCK THAT IS TYPICALLY ENCLOS TALC SCHIST OR AMPHIBOLE-CHLORITE SCHIST BUT IN ONE VEIN QUA SCHIST FORMS HANGING WALL (REC 706 P 47). COBALT MINERALS AR DISSEMINATED. IN AN AMPHIBOLE GNEISS WALL ROCK (REC 706 P 45 REC 070 MINERALS OF THE ORE (REC 706 PP 47-52). GAHNITE IS IFERROUS- A SAMPLE CONTAINED 1.48% CO OXIDE. CARROLLITE IS 3 CO, 7.65% NI, 9.98% CU, 2.25% FE. SEIGENITE-CHALCOPYRITE IS CO-NI, 3.63% CU, 3.20% FE. GRAIN SIZE- REC 706 P 17 & 50. REC 080 CU-CO-FE ORE OCCURS IN 3 OR 4 REPLACEMENT VEINS IN F AND SHEAR ZONES. VEINS TREND N 35 E TO N 45 E AND DIP 50-80 THEY HAVE BEEN WORKED A STRIKE LENGTH OF 1700 FT AND DOWN DI T. WIDTH OF ZONE MEASURED FROM MINE MAP (REC 706) AS 200 FT. DIVIDUAL VEINS ARE 2-6 FT WIDE. PARTS OF DEP ARE DESCRIBED A ULAR SHOOTS OF ORE, CU ORE ON HANGING WALL SIDE OF VEIN AND ON THE FOOTWALL SIDE. FE ORE DOMINANT NEAR SURFACE- CU ORE I S WITH DEPTH. VEINS ARE USUALLY PARALLEL TO FOLIATION OF SCH MINERALIZATION TOOK PLACE AFTER OR NEAR END OF REG. META. SH (1926) DESCRIBED CO MIN IN A CU ORE DUMP. BEST SPECIMENS- BA REDDISH-GRAY CARROLLITE OR SIEGENITE UP TO 1 CM WIDE WERE IN ERED WITH QTZ AND MAGNETITE. GAHNITE IS INTERGROWN WITH MINO NETITE & CHALCOPYRITE. MAIN VEIN MINERALS ARE CHALCOPYRITE & ITE WITH LOCAL BUNCHES OF CARROLLITE
