| Environmental Factors | NO MILL TAILINGS WERE OBSERVED AT THIS SITE DURING THE INVESTIGATION. THERE WAS ONE DISCHARGING ADIT. THE MAXIMUM CONTANIMNANT LEVEL FOR CADIUM WAS EXCEEDED IN THE DISCHARGE. THE SURFACE WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED ON DAISY CREEK DID NOT DOCUMENT AN OBSERVED RELEASE TO SURFACE WATER ATTRIBUTABLE TO THIS SITE. THE MAXIMUM CONTAMINANT LEVEL FOR CADMIUM WAS EXCEEDED IN SURFACE WATER SAMPLES COLLECTED BOTH UPSTREAM AND DOWNSTREAM OF THE SITE IN DAISY CREEK. OBSERVED RELEASES TO DAISY CREEK WERE DOCUMENTED IN THE STREAM SEDIMENT SAMPLES COLLECTED FOR ARSENIC, COPPER, IRON, MERCURY, AND LEAD; ALTHOUGH THE DATA INDICATED LIKELY ADDITIONAL UPSTREAM CONTAMINANT SOURCES. SEVERAL OF THE WASTE ROCK DUMPS WERE STEEP AND UNSTABLE. |
