  • THIS DEPOSIT IS A VANADIUM-BEARING TITANOMAGNETITE WHICH IS HOSTED IN THE MAFIC-LAYERED INTRUSION. THE ORE BODIES WITH A TOTAL THICKNESS OF 150-250M ARE INTER-LAYERED IN THE MIDDLE PARTS OF THE GABBRO INTRUSION. THE ORE BODIES STRETCH FROM EAST TO WEST FOR 3 KM AND DIP TO THE SE WITH AN ANGLE OF 50-60 DE- GREES.

Deposit THE TAIHE MINE IS LOCATED 370 KM SW OF CHENGDU. IT IS ACCESSED BY THE CHENGDU-W. KUNMING RAILWAY. THE DEPOSIT CONSISTS OF TWO MINING DISTRICTS. THE NORTHERN DISTRICT IS CURRENTLY BEING MINED. THE SOUTHERN DISTRICT IS COVERED BY MODERN SEDIMENTS AND CAN JUST BE PARTIALLY MINED BY UNDERGROUND METHODS.
