Deposit REPORTED 480 FT DEEP SHAFT WITH SEVERAL LEVELS OF WORKINGS, NOW CAVED AND A GLORY HOLE ABOUT 50 FT ACROSS, 30 FT DEEP. SHAFT COLLAR ON OR ADJACENT TO CONTACT BETWEEN LIMESTONE AND GRANITIC ROCK, NO ORE MINERALS SEEN ON DUMP, SHAFT REPORTEDLY SUNK ON WEAK COPPER MINERALIZATION. OLD FOUNDATION OF A MILL NEARBY. ABOUT 200 FT NORTH OF THE SHAFT IS A STRAIGHT ADIT THAT IS CAVED AT 490 FT FROM PORTAL. ADIT IN LIMESTONE WITH MINOR MALACHITE STAINS. UNLIKELY ANY PRODUCTION FROM THESE WORKINGS BECAUSE OF LACK OF MINERALS IN PLACE OR ON DUMP. ABOUT 900 FT NORTHWEST OF THE CHIRICAHUA MINE IS A 20-FT-LONG ADIT AND A SMALL PROSPECT PIT. THE ADIT IS IN A ZONE OF ALTERED, BRECCIATED, IRON-STAINED LIMESTONE WITH A TACTITE ZONE NEAR THE PORTAL. A SAMPLE FROM THE TACTITE ZONE ASSAYED 4.8% COPPER, MALACHITE STAINS WERE THE ONLY ORE MINERAL SEEN. A SMALL SLOUGHED IN PIT IS ABOUT 200 FT SOUTHEAST OF THIS ADIT. MINERALS ON THE DUMP INCLUDE BORNITE, CHALCOCITE, CHALCOPYRITE, AND MALACHITE. A SAMPLE OF THIS ORE ASSAYED 13.7% COPPER AND 6.7 OUNCES/SHORT TON SILVER. THE PIT IS IN AN AREA OF ALTERED AND IRON-STAINED LIMESTONE.
