Deposit MINE WAS FIRST PROSPECTED FOR CU, PB, AG, AU MINERALIZATION; WHEN DRIFTING IN THE LOWER ADIT A 5 FT THICK BED OF FERTILIZER GRADE ROCK WAS CROSSEDD. 1946-48 60000 ST OF 31% P205 WAS MINED. PHOSPHORIA IS ON E LIMB OF THE DOUGLAS MT ANTICLINE, BEDS STRIKE N30W DIP40NE. RETORT MEMBER; IS 5.2 FT THICK AT 32.7% P205, 11.2FT THICK AT 23.9% P205. INDICATED RESERVES OF 50000 ST AT 31% P205. INFERRED RESERVES FROM 4025 FT NORTH AND 4025 FT SOUTH OF THE MINE ARE ON THE ORDER OF 900000 TONS ANDD 600000 TONS RESPECTIVELY.(ABOVE THE 6000 FT LEVEL0). INFERRED RESERVES BETWEEN THE 5000 AND 6000 LEVELS, ON THE ABOVE GROUNDD, ARE 4300000 TONS INFERRED RESERVES ARE AT 31% P205. HANGING WALL IS CHERT AND THE FOOTWALL IS MUDSTONE. FAULTING AND SHEARING HAVE BROKEN AND LOCALLY CRUSHED THE PHOSPHATE ROCK CAUSING HIGH DILUTION. SAMPLE LOT 1340 FROM USGA PROF PAPER 313-F IS LOCATED HERE
